The design embodies a conceptual translation of the highest mountain in Norway. This particular mountain, Galdhøpiggen, is chosen as it is known internationally and its shape is easily recognizable as a Norwegian landmark with triangular and flat appearance on the south-east side. While observing it from outside on a certain height, a feeling of monumentality or faraway can be experienced, the same as observing mountains on a clear weather. This project seeks to emphasize the uniqueness of Norwegian culture, its history and natural landscape.

The influence of nature demonstrates its essential role: from concept to function and materiality. The extensive usage of wide planks of pine tries brings the nature closer and seeks to create a sense of home. STAIRS TO THE DREAMS aims at promoting an interactive pavilion where by all means people are invited to participate. The overall design aims at sustainable solutions that combine recyclable materials with easily customizable aluminum structures. The expandable platforms are aligned with the base position while creating a rectangular overall structure. The design takes the concept to a greater level of aesthetic rationally. On one side the stairs create a triangular auditorium of approximately 170 seats and on the other side, slides down a slope of 13 degrees which welcomes interaction, playingfullness or a simple rendering of hiking experience.
